Fans react as Seahorse has identity revealed on Masked Singer

Posted by: admin , January 2, 2021

Fans have reacted after Seahorse had their identity revealed after being eliminated from the Masked Singer.

Saturday’s show saw Spice Girl Mel B get dumped from the show after her version of Kylie Minogue’s ‘Can’t get you out of my head’.

Initially fan theories guessed the Seahorse to be everyone including Katie Price, Michaela Strachan, Coleen Nolan, and Helen Skelton after the sea creature described themselves as magical and unique looking.

But judges Rita Ora, Davina McCall and Mo Gilligan guessed correctly after drawing clues from her distinctive accent.

Revealing herself, Mel described the contest as a great show, adding: “You get to not be yourself for a second.”

But her departure has got fans in disbelief at her sudden exit from the show.

Twitter user Keven Law said: “How the hell can they save the Grandfather clock over legendary Mel B from the @spicegirls FFS.”

Another Twitter used joked: “Disgraceful Sophie Ellis-Bextor last week and now Mel B!! getting rid of all the icons disgraceful behaviour writing to Ofcom.”

And another said: “Mel B sent home this week, Sophie Ellis Bextor last week! The remaining #maskedsinger better be amazing!”

And a fellow Twitter user agreed: “Mel B is an ICON why is she out”

After the second episode of the season theories about the remaining contestants are in full swing.

Alongside Seahorse, the ITV show saw performances by Grandfather Clock, Bush Baby, Harlequin, Blob, and Viking.

In particular, Bush Baby’s Australian accent had fans guessing it could be Aussie pop star Peter Andre, while some have put forward Jason Donovan and either Ant or Dec, as the Geordie presenters host I’m A Celeb Down Under.

Others believe it is rapper KSI, or a children’s TV presenter or someone from Countdown due to the numbers and letters on the front of its costume.

In a new teaser clip, Grandfather Clock says: “Will you guess who I am?” but some fans think the clue is in the way the voice has been disguised.

Several think the voice has a “Doctor Who vibe” with some guessing it could be former Time Lord Tom Baker, who at 86 could fit in the with grandfather theme of the character.

He discussed “time running out”, and said he made every single minute count – and “who knows if you might need extra time”.

Viewers guessed Chris Kamara, John Barnes, Michael Owen, Vinny Jones, Larry Lamb, Ian Wright, and David James.

Jonathan guessed David Seaman, and Bradley Walsh, Rita guessed Des Lineham.

Mo guessed Frank Skinner and David James, and Davina guessed Les Ferdinand.

Meanwhile, some think the Viking could be Love Island voiceover man Iain Stirling, purely because he is Scottish.

Viking pronounced his name with the emphasis on the “king” and said he was very curious, an explorer who forged his own way, and that he was looking for a voice.

Guesses from viewers included Si King, Brian Cox, Aled Jones, and Gareth Malone.

After today’s episode, Noel Edmonds has been put forward as the most likely contender to be the Blob.

This theory has been formed due to the fact Noel used to star alongside Mr Blobby on his Saturday night variety show, Noel’s House Party.

But based on the “eyes and teeth” other viewers believe it is comedian Alan Carr.

* The Masked Singer airs on Saturday nights on ITV at 7pm
