Solano County libraries offering modified resources – Times-Herald

Posted by: admin , December 27, 2020

Though Solano County libraries are technically closed due to COVID-19 protocols, offerings are still available to the public.

“The Library’s highest priority is the health, safety, and well-being of our community members and staff. Any changes to services and programs that may become necessary will be announced on our website and through social media,” said Bonnie Katz, Director of Library Services, in a press statement.

Browse online and choose materials to borrow, then arrange for curbside pickup.

To schedule curbside service, visit solanolibrary.com and click on the link “Make an Appointment”. For patrons without access to the internet, call 1-866-572-7587 or text “book” to 707-604-9700 during business hours.

Curbside hours are:

  • Monday to Thursday, 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
  • Friday, 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. (Fairfield Civic Center Library, John F. Kennedy Library, Vacaville Public Library-Cultural Center only).

Virtual programs will still be held.

Also available are digital and streaming resources, from eBooks and audiobooks to digital movies and music to Mango Languages and TumbleBooks, the latter featuring interactive books, educational games, puzzles, and other learning activities for children.

Have materials to return? Book drops will remain open 24/7 at all branch locations. Library customer service is available for general questions at 1-866-57-ASKUS or email askus@splashlibraries.org.

Visit solanolibrary.com for the latest service updates.
